Introductions
I didn't know where I was going. I did not care, actually. I ran, my legs going into mega drive. The trees were just blurs as I rushed though the lush green forest. Wet, cold droplets of rain poured harshly all over my aching limbs. I did not care how cold I was, for the adreniline rush kept me warm and going. Suddenly, everything was spinning. It took me a few seconds to realize I fell... but why couldn't I stand up? Why was everything still spinning.
A shriek soon pierced my ears. Only when I felt an unbearable pain did I realize I was hurting. That shriek came from my now unmoving lips. A deep throbbing started in the center of my back, moving down my core to my limbs. I tried to scream, to curl up, to do anything to stop the pain, but it all failed. The world started spinning again as I must of been picked up by the forced that knocked me over. Another blow to the back, along with a silent scream that passed though my still lips. I tried to stand up, but I could not move. I could not breathe. Could not think. As the world started spinning, I tried to keep myself consious. My eyes started closing, and everything started to go numb....
Where was I? I couldn't feel a thing. I heard footsteps, and a few people breathing, but that was it. Was I... dead? But, no, Heaven wouldn't be so dark, and Hell wouldn't be so peaceful. Was I in the Middle Worlds? Okay, maybe I read too much. There's no such thing. I slowly gained feeling in my limbs. Weighing probably millions of tons, I opened my eyelids. The light from the glass wall not far from me blinded me for a few seconds and made my eyes water. I blinked.. once... twice.. then my eyes adjusted. I lifted my head quickly, instinctively, but I soon regreted it more than anything. My head, and some of the world, was spinning and made me really queasy. Also hurt like someone shattered diamonds against my head. Cradding my throbbing head in one hand, a small mix of a moan and a whine escaped my lips.
"Well well, you're awake I see," said a gentle male's voice. I turned my head, but regretted that as well. Closing my eyes for a few minutes, I opened them once more as soon as the throbbing stopped. Standing in front of me was a man, probably in his twenties, with blonde hair. He looked like a model or a god. Too perfect. Not human, I instantly though. All humans are flawed, even the beautiful ones. I shook the thought away.
"How do you feel?" he asked. Probably to me.
"One of the little lies that dont hurt anyone, or the truth?" I managed to say, a little more bitter than usual. A normal person could, no would, say 'No freaking duh!,' but I'm not that kind of person. I usually am really polite, sheepish, or I make jokes of it. I could feel a smile creep up on my face as I though oh myself making a joke. The man let out a gentle laugh. I just smiled. Then a though revealed itself, making the smile on my face turn into a stright line.
"What exactly happened? And.. How long have I been out of it?" I asked, curiousity finding it's way into every word. I found myself growing with anxiety. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, counting backwards mentally That helped a lot more than I expected, though I could of sworn I heard a laugh from downstairs. I sighed and shook my head.
"About three weeks. And I'm not exactly sure what had happened, but you were in very bad shape. Took us a long time to get you stable." He said. "Your spine was in very bad shape, and you broke a few ribs,"
I knew he was a doctor by the way he talked. With the way I'm feeling now and what he said, I'd probably say he'd been a doctor for a hundred years or so. But I'm not that stupid... am I? It took a minute for my brain to digest the words before I looked a him, a bit childish. "I'm sorry if I caused any trouble or worry," I said softly.
"It's no problem," he said softly. That was enough to calm my worries. "Sorry I didn't get a chance to introduce myself properly. I'm Carlisle Cullen,"
I dipped my head in respect and aknowelgement, and smiled. "The name's Amethyst, but many call me Ame."
I looked around and realized the others had walked in. Yep, the attention span of a mouse. I looked at them and smiled slightly, nodding at them to tell them I know they're there. It's kind of a way I say 'hello' without actually speaking. I looked at them quickly, not taking in every little detail, but enough to discribe them quickly. The one leaning against the door looked like a beauty queen with the way her 'perfect' beauty was. She looked at me with the girly girl look. I knew I wasn't going to like her. Her blonde wavy hair was down to the middle of her back. Her eyes were a dark gold, and definately frozen; hateful. I suppressed a cold shiver and moved on after feeling like a bird in a snake's gaze.
The one right next to her was very tall, probably towering all of the others. His hair was very dark and slightly curly. His muscles were big, and he looks like a giant grizzly in a human body. Very intiminating, but I smiled a bit more. No stereotypes, I always told myself.
Not that much farther away was a girl with brown hair, a bit more chocolate colored than my golden-brown hair. It was all the way down to her waist; I could never understand why girls want their hair so long. Her skin was pail like all the rest. Probably a family trait, I thought silently. Moved on to the next.
Beside her with his hand around his waist was a guy that was a pretty adverage hight. His hair was an unusual shade of a bronze. Not very common, though mine was not far off. I smiled at him because he seemed to be the most welcoming so far. He smiled back with an amazing crooked smile. I knew we might get along, maybe become friends unlike the last few. Okay, maybe the girl right before I might get along with.
Next, I saw a guy who seemed pretty unwelcoming. His hair was short, and a honey colored blonde. I looked at him a bit more closely. It seemed he got a little uncomfortable when I was here. But what did I do wrong? I thought I saw the bronze haired boy role his eyes from the corner of my eyes, but I ignored it. I looked at the blonde with a bit of child-like eyes. It must of seemed apologetic, because he seemed to calm down a bit.
Looking beside him was a woman with caramel colored hair. There was not much to say about her, but she looked like she was from those old movies. Not the bad ones, not at all. But those wild west ones and the ones my Grandparent's used to watch. I smiled at her. I noticed she must of been the most caring of all.
I almost skipped the last one, but her black, spiky hair caught my attention. She was about my size, 4'10. Sadly, I was only thirteen years old, but her on the other hand looked like she was seventeen. I thought I might like her, with her hair being short. I saw her as she put on a HUGE grin on her face. Her gold eyes were liquid and welcoming. She walked, no danced, over to me and took my hand in a handshake. I knew she was an optimistic person. I couldn't help but smile. "I have a feeling we'll be friends," I whispered to her.
Then I looked at all of them as Carlisle introduced them in the order I looked at them. Rosalie, Emmett, Bella, Edward, Jasper, Esme, and Alice. I nodded and smiled. "The name's Ame," I added after a small pause.
