Quietpaw jerked awake, pulled from her seemingly endless dream, she hadn't wanted to awaken just yet but something force her, she guessed it was the sun that was peering through the apprentices den. She smiled slightly looking at the warmth happily, she rose to her paws and made her way out of the den and to the clearing, she was ever so quiet and didn't make a sound just in case others were still asleep. Quietpaw sat down and yawned silently blinking her soft dark blue eyes she gazed around to see if anyone was awake seeing no one she relaxed and smiled up at the sky softly, her ears folded back as she enjoyed the warmth happily.

SHIMMERMIST
This ain't a song for the brokenhearted No silent prayer for the faith departed The sun was just starting to rise, it's beam casting shadows throughout the forest. The flashes of sun and shadows dappled on the forest floor in a dancing pattern. Birds were starting to chirp already, something that only happened this early in green-leaf. Already you could today was going to be a scorcher, one of the best days to go swimming in the river. Or even just lying around in the shade. It would be a really bad day to go on patrol.
And I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd You're gonna hear my voice when I shout it out loud
A lone femme walked in the shadows, head bowed. At night, she never slept much, it was extremly difficult. Her head was always buzzing with random thoughts and fears. That's why she loved going out into the forest. here, she was forever distracted by the beauty of nature, the fun of life. Out in the forest, the deputy could act like a kit, and have the kithood she had missed out on. Chasing leaves, climbing trees, and just daydreaming in general. That's why the morning was her favourite time of day. Everything was perfect when she was away from camp.
It's my life! It's now or never
Suddenly, Shimmermist looked up at the sky. The sky was turning blue, and the sun's heat was warming up her fur. She had better get back to camp before her mom found out. The deputy still hadn't forgotten about Blizzardkit, the two week old kit her mom abandonned because he didn't look like his father. If Tigerheart would do that to a kit for it's appearence, there was no telling what Shimmermist would have to go through.
I ain't gonna live forever I just wanna live while I'm alive It's my life!
So, the femme ran. Her legs stretched out, her big clumsy paws hitting the ground lightly and gracefully. What a shock, Shimmermist couldn't stand up straight, but can run through the forest without making a sound. Her creamy fur was blowing back in the breeze, her fluffy tail streaming out behind her like a banner. Panting, her tongue lolled out to the side, making this she-cat look like an excited puppy. Wow, she went out farther then she had thought. The Birman slowed down as she got to the entrance of camp, not wanting to wake up any cats. Especially not her mother, or the clan leader. Neither would be very fun to face at this time of morning, and they would most certianly ask what she was doing out of camp. No, it was just better she wasn't caught.
These are my confessions Just when I thought I said all I can say
Shimmermist padded softly into camp, weighing her options. She could go sit in the warriors den, but what was the point. She didn't want to listen to the other warriors snore and mumble in their sleep. Gazing over at the fresh-kill pile, the she-cat deputy saw their was no prey. Shimmermist could go to the river and catch some, but that would still bring questions, so it was a definite no. Maybe some other warrior was up to tslk to? The deputy didn't have any friends within the clan, she was always too busy, but she definetly wanted a friend or two. Then the deputy would finally have someone to talk to, a cat to confide in.
You better stand tall When they're calling you out
Finally, the femme's ice blue gaze landed on a cat stumbling out of the apprentice's den. The apprentice made her way to the clearing, and say down, yawning as she did so. Shimmermist struggled for a moment to determine the identity of the cat. Quietpaw. Wasn't she the mute apprerntice? Shimmermist liked her, she was kind-hearted, and was happy most of the time, which was odd considering she couldn't speak. The she-cat padded over to Quietpaw, and smiled. "Beautiful day, isn't it?" The femme mewed, making sure it was a simple yes or no question. She didn't know Quietpaw, and didn't want to offend the apprentice.
Don't bend, don't break Baby, don't back down

Quietpaw's soft greyish brown fur glimmered gently in the sunlight, she blinked, her ears perking as she heard a voice, she looked up at Shimmermist quietly she smiled seeing the deputy, it was rare for her to see anyone so early but she was glad that someone would talk with her. Quietpaw nodded as she smiled softly, it was indeed and beauitful day she had to agree on that, because well it was true. The gaze in her dark blue eyes was a soft, she dipped her head as if saying good morning to Shimmermist, being unable to talk left her with certain gestures to mean certain things, which is why she was often misunderstood, she would love it if one cat could at least understand her.
