Deputy on top of the World

Fangscar padded across the clearing with his head held high. He'd been deputy for 4 moons and felt on top of the world. It felt good to feeel as though cats of your clan once taunted you for one reason or another and now they look up to you.

He stopped at the fresh~kill pile and picked up a mouse. He already ordered the patrols out and such and didn't have to do anything but relax and guard the camp. He saw the brambles at the entrance to the camp shake.

The fur on his spine rose as a long, narrow, reddish muzzle pushed into the camp. "FOX!" Fangscar yowled. He leaped at the fox, battering it's hind quarters.

[Yagami]

Ravenpaw darted out of his den at the sound of the Deputy. He stared in Horror as Fangscar battled a Fox. "I'll help!" He yowled, jumping into the action. He leaped onto the Foxes back, claws unsheathed. Ravenpaw clawed at the Foxes back, hoping to give it a few good gashes.

Fangscar slipped under the fox and made a deep gash down it's under~belly. It bellowed in pain and fell, flattening Fangscar underneath.

[Yagami]

"Fangscar!" Ravenpaw yowled. "Are you alright!" The small apprentice forced the fox off of Fangscar.

"I'm fine" he rasped. He stood up and shook the dust off his pelt. The fox was stalking a small lump of fur. A kit! Fangscar lunged at the fox and hung onto it's tail.

A large Bengal tom Streaked Across the Clearing, leaving his Meal To Help the Apprentice and The Deputy Fight the Fox back From their Precious Prey Pile. The Large tom Threw His Immense Weight on to the Fox's Shoulder helping Move the Gigantic Beast off of its Route to the Tiny kit. His Usual Cheery Attitude replaced By his Hidden Hunger for Battle. He Stood bravely, Claws Unsheathed In front Of it protectively

Fangscar stood beside the tom and rested his tail on his shoulder. His eyes flashed." How did the fox manage to nose past the barriers?" Fangscar growled. The fox just wouldn't leave and he was afraid of what he was going to say." We have to kill it." he whispered.

[Yagami]

Ravenpaw stood in the back. He didn't want to kill anything in camp. Besides, he was too small for that! "Y-you guys can handle that..." He mewed. His tail flicked nervously as he watched.

"Maybe Not," Slowly,Foxes Were Controlled By their Hunger, This Camp was Full of Cats and The Fresh Kill pile That Would make a Fine meal For the Beast, " If We Lead it Away With A Rabbit Or large Piece of Fresh Kill, We Could Have A Bigger Perimeter to drive It away and Save the few kits we have." He Searched For A Fast and Small Cat to Lead the Fox Away. "Do you think Ravenpaw Could Outrun the Fox with A large Piece Of Prey , Or would A Bigger Warrior Do Better?" He Asked Slashing At the Fox's Throat while Trying to Ask Fangscar For Orders.

"Lets try to trick it into hurting itself. Like let it chase us and run up a tree so it hits the tree. Take it to the tall pine at the edge of our territory, Ravenpaw. When you get there, climb as high as possible. Show it the rabbit again and let it climb the tree. Drop the rabbit next to you and shake a big branch hard. Do all you can to scare it so it falls. We'll be there to attack it if it doesn't die." he meowed briskly.

[Yagami]

"O-okay..." Ravenpaw mewed, grabbing a Rabbit from the Fresh-Kill pile. Ravenpaw jetted out of the camp, the Fox hot on his heels after noticing the rabbit.
