A small kit stepped out of the Nursery, her head held high as she padded through to the camp. Being stuck in the Nursery was no fun at all, so the small kit had decided that it was time she went outside to explore. She still wasn't sure if she'd leave the camp and go into the territory, because that seemed pretty outlandish. But maybe keep to the confinement of the camp, and perhaps a few pawsteps outside wouldn't hurt anyone..
Ashkit stood outside of the Nursery, her head swimming with ideas. She could round up the other kits, though she didn't know much about any of them. And out here, there seemed to be more cats, though all of them were much older then her. Apprentices, Warriors, Elders, even the Leader and Deputy could come and go as they pleased! So, why couldn't a kit?

A thick furred She-Cat Entered the Camp entrance her mouth Stuffed with a large rabbit that she had outrun and caught on the moorland. She glanced at the young kit looking as though wanting to go out of camp, she was much too small and young to go on her own or even with a patrol. She dropped her prey in the pile and joined the kit On silent paws. "Not thinking Of Going out of Camp are you, Ashkit?" she said standing next to the little kit, her puffy brown and white fur giving her a larger appearance that her actual, lean body was.

Young, & small was the kit that padded silently through the brush. He knew it was not his place to be here, still the smell of food, & the growling in his belly drew him near to a pile of kill. He flicked one paw out swiftly, & pulled a small vole back into the shadow where he crouched, & ate hastily. When there was nothing more of use to him he quietly, & skillfully hid the carcass in the underbrush partially buried in the dirt where he'd been crouched to eat.
Then, with the flick of his tale he turned, & moved a few fox-lengths away from the pile. Once at a distance he thought safe he clambered unsteadily into a tree, where he sat watching the goings on below him.

A lonely kit walks out of the nursey. He sits down and stares at his paws with his tail down wondering if someone would talk to him.
