It was cold. Especially for summer. It was sometime between moonhigh and dawn, and dew was already beginning to form on each blade of grass. Up above the moon cast down it s light, making everything glow with a white flare. A soft breeze rustled the trees above, sending a few droplet down from the recent storm.
In all of this calm, a tense atmostphere could be felt for one cat. Ontop of the Immense Stone , Russetstar sat, only a shadow in the night. Recieving her lives was hard, but now having the clan on her shoulders brought physical and mental pain to her. Would she get things right? Or screw everything up? Starclan please help me...

A black and white she-cat padded out of the nursery, her head tilted up to the pre-dawn sky. As she looked around, she caught sight of Russetstar, and the pregnant queen gave a small smile to her. Although Shadowheart deeply grieved the death of the last leader, Fenstar, she respected Russetstar. Fenstar had been her only other friend in this clan, besides her mate, the deputy SwiftFire.
But now the formerly anti-social she-cat was opening up slightly. She waved her tail to the new leader and called out a greeting: "Good morning Russetstar" She picked up a mouse from the fresh kill pile and took a bite of it.

Russetstar could barely hear Shadowheart's greeting. " Hello.." The young leader didn't turn to reply, keeping her eyes locked onto the horizon. The support of her clan would always give her confidence, yet she didnt want to disappoint them if she failed. It would be hard as leader and she didnt know if she could take it. Maybe I should step down, and let Swiftfire take my place. He would be a better leader than I. In fact, any cat would be better than myself.... Shemuttered, just loud enough that any cat near her could possibly make out what she said.

Sparrowpaw was on her way, only a few pawsteps away from Russetstar. Maybe I should step down, and let Swiftfire take my place. He would be a better leader than I. In fact, any cat would be better than myself.... With that, her eyes struck in horror, and quickly hid to a nearby bracket, wanting to hear more. With an excited strain of her ears, she listened, and stood still as her limbs would allow her to. Sometimes... That was impossible.
