The sharp tang of herbs wafts from this den, giving the camp-clearing a pleasant aroma. This is the Medicine Cat's Den, which has two main parts. A fern tunnel leads to another stone den much like the Leader's Den. Patients normally sleep in the fern tunnel, while herbs are stored in the stone cave at the back.

A beautiful slick silver tabby she-cat slipped into her den. Her long bushy tail brushed against the walls of the den, and her green eyes shimmered in the little bit of light coming through the leafy roof. This cat was Ivytail, medicine cat of Thunderclan. Ivytail then stretched, and curled up into a ball, waiting for a cat who needed her assistance in the clan.

Fireeye who had seemed to wander out of the elders den to come up to the medicine cats den was quite surprising for a cat of his condition. Whether he can on his own accord or it was all a misunderstanding not cat knew all they knew was that he was here and looking for someone or something. "Hello." mewed the old blind tom he seemed to quite confused at where he was or who he was talking to.

Ivytail let out a mrrow of pleasure and replied, "Hi Fireeye, what's the issue today?" She got up and bowed for respect to her elder. "I've been a bit bored, so I'm up for just about anything at this point." She replied, twitching her tail and let out a sneeze. "Oh, exuse me." She laughed.

"Well hello Ivytail I have noticed a slight problem with my right forepaw." He mewed to the sleek young she-cat and then asked "Do you have anything to help me?" He wanted to know so she could tell him so he knew what she was getting. "Ohh that is quiet alright Ivytail." siad the old cat to her sneeze. He smiled and it seemed she was looking straight at her like he could see.

"Alright, lemme take a look at it." She walked over and sniffed the forepaw, she could tell it was a bit sore. "Here, put your paw on this for a moment." She layed down a piece of wet moss. It was almost icy cold. Just the right temperature to cool down a swollen foot. "Do your pads on your paw seem dry? Or is it just that it's hard to walk on your foot?"

Fireeye felt the cold moss touch his paw it was cold very cold but he held in his fellings. He then answered her question "It just hard to walk on it." He spoke normal tones and not as if he was in pain. He was in pain but didn't show it he wanted no one to know he was in pain then there would be a fuss about an elder not felling well then everyone would come to see him. He didn't like the idea he had trouble enought with the other elders.

Ivytail nodded then nudged some comfry towards him. "Eat it, it helps to sooth and helps muscle and bones." Then she giggled. "You can keep the moss if you like. Once it cools down It'll be a nice pillow for you."

Fireeye took it and eat the herbs. He then looked at her with the glazed over green eyes and said "Thank you." Then he turned and with his tail felt his way back towards the elders den. It was a hard walk but he made it.

Icepaw slowly walked into the medcine cat den. He reconized his trustworthy mentor, Ivytail. He glanced outside of the den a little bit, seeing Fireeye walk to the elder's den. "What was going on?" Icepaw asked. His green eyes reflected off of his smooth white fur. He stuck out of the den very well. In a way, he did blend in with the green herbs, that that is about it.

She turning her her apprentice. "Fireeye had a slight problem with his paw... Nothing major." She streched her back out. "You up for some training?" Ivytail smiled softly at him. "If your busy, I'll let you go though."

Icepaw's face light up excitedly. He loved to train. He loved to learn new things. It made him think Less lives lost of silly mistakes He calmed himself down with a few flicks of his tail. "Yes. I have nothing of importance to do." He stated.

Ivytail could sense his excitment. "Alright then.." She went into the back of the room and came back to him with some yarrow. "Alright, do you know what this is?" She guess he wouldn't, but if he did she would just tell him some information about it and then move onto the next herb.

Icepaw's mind traveled though his past. He took a deep breath, smelling the scent of the herb. It smelled fimillar, but he couldn't think of the name. Defeteted, he shook his head, "I reconize the scent, but I can't put a name on it." A little of his excitment was gone, but there was enough to keep going. I'm going to learn about this herb He thought determinedly.
