Eyes of pale yellow surveyed the area with great care, taking in all the sights that were laid before them atop the vast plateau. They continued to roam, looking for any indication of movement or life. These watching eyes belonged to the WindClan warrior, Redfur, who had come out on this typically breezy day to possibly catch a bit of prey to take back to camp with himself. The sun had begun to fall in the sky, leaving the faintest blushes of light in the sky from behind the tom. The wind rippled gently through the air, fluffing the tabby's fur up around him. Redfur parted his jaw as the gusts blew the scent of fresh rabbit and the faintest whiff of a vole.
He began to pad along the soft ground, tracking down the aroma of the rabbit. He trotted along slowly, not spying the animal yet, but the smell grew stonger as he continued. In a brief moment, out of the corner out his eye flashed a white tail as the creature lept over a thick patch of grass. Its back was fortunately turned, so it failed to notice that Redfur was a rough ten foxlengths away as the wind was blowing towards it from the front. Redfur pulled himself a bit closer to the ground, creeping just a bit closer. But, before he could even move a muscle, the rabbit bounded away in a swift motion. Redfur was forced to run far faster than he normally would've just to keep within range. But, the creature he was chasing after had recieved too much of a lead, and the warrior was forced to give up with his pursuit. Stoping to regain his breath, Redfur looked angrily at the bobbing rabbit that ran out into the distant. What a pathetic attempt that was, he scolded himself within his head, looking down at his paws with his ears flicked back in bitter disapproval.
He continued to move along with his hunt, finding nothing but the remains of a mouse that had apparently been killed by a bird of prey and the scent of the rabbit he'd been after. With a slow sigh, Redfur sat down on his haunches, keeping himself alert as he took a break for a moment. He'd seen little action on that particular day, finding little game in his possession. It was felt as if a majority of his time out had been spent hunting, something that he didn't exactly enjoy doing. Closing his eyes, Redfur sat in the light of the setting sun, letting his breath settle and his thoughts calm.

The tall grass nearby camouflaged a light brown she cat with her hazel eyes shining up at the sky. suddenly a large bird flew close overhead, this was the chance Woodsong was waiting for. she jumped on her powerful hind legs and caught the black raven on the chest with her sharp claws and drug them over its large body and it fell down in the grass along with Woodsong. she landed on her feet and picked the bird up.and buried it in the dirt in the grass. she slunk out and sat down by redfur.

The rusty tabby had been doing nothing but sitting still and taking in the gentle hum of the wind pressing in his ear fur. That is, until an unexpected visitor had approached so swiftly. Eyes opening quickly as Redfur noted that Woodsong, a fellow WindClanner, had joined him in his sitting. The tom took in a short breath, and looked over to the brown cat who sat near to him. "Hello..." he said calmly, but quietly. The warrior had never been a social feline, and didn't exactly do well with company. Especially if he had planned to be spending his time alone while out. He flicked his tail back and forth before letting it fall over his front paws, watching the she-cat with intensity, as if she were going to pounce up and attack him at any moment.

"hello...would you like to go hunting with me?" she asked with a slight smile. with leafbare only halfway through she needed all the help she could with hunting. the only thing she caught so far was the raven from earlier.

Still flipping his tail, Redfur continued to sit and watch, counting the few seconds that had passed since he had greeted Woodsong. After a moment or two, the she-cat gave him a proposal to hunt. Pondering at the offer, and at the fact that he had not yet caught any prey himself, Redfur gave a brief nod. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt..." the tom replied, his face remaining quite expressionless as he pulled himself into a stand. He stretched his shoulders back slightly, taking in a deep breath before padding along a few foxlengths. He turned around for a moment to glance back at his hunting companion. "Coming?" he asked.
