"Pretty good now that I'm finally an apprentice", Blazepaw said with a yawn, his gaping jaws revealed sharp white teeth. His apprentice ceremony had been put off until he was seven moons because he, Dawnkit, and Starkit, had gotten in so much trouble. Now he'd been an apprentice for about a moon. "We've been focusing on battle training, it's really fun!"

Redpaw nodded and thought about her own apprentice ceremony " I became an apprentice only a little before you. My siblings.. were killed..." Pain glowed in her eyes and she had to use everything she had to hold back from wailing. It had been awful, at least, thats what her mother told her.

Starpaw looked around from her usual spot behind the apprentices' den. Her small, cream body could easily fit behind here. She always hated being a runt, but being this small usually kept her out of trouble. Soon she spotted something. Her old den-mate, Blazepaw, and another apprentice she had never met. She peeked out of her hiding place to look at them. Shyness overtook her once again, and she just watched- half in her hiding spot- and listened.

Blazepaw peered at Redpaw through amber eyes that read the painful gleam in her own. "Oh, I'm sorry; my siblings died to but I never knew them", he mumbled, and was about to add something else when he sensed another cat. "Hey Starpaw come here!", he called to her, knowing that his shy little friend was lurking somewhere around in the shadows, just out of sight. She was about the only small cat Blazepaw could tolerate. He felt protective of her. "This is Redpaw", he told Starpaw.

Hey Starpaw come here! Little blue eyes and a chocolate face came peered out of the shadows, and slowly the rest of her tiny cream body followed. Shyness still took over her, but she couldn't ignore her friend. She sat nervously a little behind Blazepaw. This is Redpaw "N-nice to meet y-you," she stuttered shyly. Her blue orbs avoided the she-cat's gaze.

Blazepaw smile, curling his tail so that the tip touched his friend's back. "Starpaw and Dawnpaw and Faithpaw - wherever the other two are - have always been like my siblings", he ventured to Redpaw, trying to comfort her. He gave himself a shake, as if he were trying to think about his words like he didn't already know what he was going to say. "You could join us too"

((Enough with the thinking. We can do that in PMs. XD)) Starpaw looked over the group, thinking about something to say. The group had been a bit more silent then she would have liked. Something about this subject made the atmosphere heavy with some sorrow. However, this just wasn't her thing. Starpaw never talks to someone without being talked to first. 'better start being braver now...' "How is t-training going f-for you guys?"

Blazepaw responded to Starpaw's shyness with his bouncy, outgoingness. "Great!", he exclaimed, his voice detailing the word. He shifted paws entergetically. "My mentor says I'm great at fighting. Maybe we can all trian together sometime" The big apprentice smiled happily and confidently. He might as well have been Starkit's polar opposite.

Duskfang awoke from his deep, dreamless sleep from apprentices mewling. his eyes reluctantly staggered to his bloodstained, scarred paws. his tattered pads stung. duskfang felt a strong breeze ruffle his darkened pelt. he walked to the fresh kill pile and took a scrawny mouse; he didnt deserve much more. "barely a mouthful." he muttered and took a bite of the tough, stringy mouse. his tail curled over his tattered paws. when duskfang's mouse was polished off he got up again. "i better go hunt." he mewed softly and started to walk out.

RobinKit appeared at the Nursery Den entrance, blinking at how bright it was outside compared to the dark Den. He noticed the Apprentices playing, and the warriors arriving from hunting and patrols. The small brown kit sighed as he sat down outside of the entrance, remembering not to stray to far from it. "It's boring when all the kits are too small..." RobinKit muttered. He had been abandoned by his parents at a really young age, and had already learned to eat fresh-kill by his current age of only one moon...

" My mentor says that my hunting skill are excellent, because my fur blends so well against the pine needles, and because of how silent I am." The traits she had made her proud especially since she wasnt originally from shadowclan, but no one knew that except for Shimmerstar. " How about yours Starpaw?" Being from outside the clan, she was always friednly to everyone. However, she wasnt nevous like Starpaw or super bouncy, like Blazepaw. Redpaw was usually calm or content, but her eyes were always warm and bright, and there was never a time where there wasnt a smile on her face.
