Risingdawn smiled, deciding not to disturb the peaceful moment between mentor and apprentice. It was as though they'd surpassed a large obstacle together, and now they could have a silent celebration, praising each other for the strength of which they bestowed on the clan by the food that was killed and the lesson that had been learned. The slender she-cat slipped away, deciding to do a bit of hunting on her own.
Risingdawn stopped when she was a little ways away, her black ears swiveling from side to side, listening for the sound of a rabbit. And suddenly, she felt the pulse in her ears, her eyes glancing towards the faint sound. Her pupils narrowed in on a young, plump rabbit, that sat, unaware of the approaching danger. With a sudden burst of speed, the warrior took chase, lunging swiftly towards the prey. With sudden aceleration, the she-cat took down the rabbit, killing it swiftly.
She returned to Duckpaw and Jadegaze, the animal grasped gently in her jaws. She set it down beside the other, her blue eyes shinning. She too had learned a lesson from Jadegaze, and it had helped her with her kill today. Instead of pouncing, she'd sped up, lunging for the kill.

Duckpaw nodded, Jadegaze was so kind like a mother, and knew how really to coax ones true tallent out. Her ears roated back as she heard Risingdawn trot away. "I'll remember that, I'm just used to leaping because of feathered animals. I used to collect feathers, I know its odd for a WindClan cat. My father used to tell me which feather came from what bird. " she said her eyes slightly clouding but then coming back to reality. The sound of an approtching feline came into ear shot. Duckpaw turned her head ever so slighty so that Risingdawn could be seen in her parifial vision. "Nice catch." the apprentice said nodding to the rabbit.

Risingdawn smiled "Why thank you Duckpaw" she purred "Although I must admit that your's is nicer" she complimented. Her icy blue gaze had melted quite a bit that day, for seeing the magic between mentor and apprentice had truely warmed her heart. She smiled at Jadegaze, wondering if the she-cat had any idea how lucky she was to have such a tight bond with the young apprentice. And not only did she had a tight bond, but she truely had an impact of the young cat's life, which was something more beautiful, more rewarding and more satisfying then anything StarClan could give as a gift to any individual cat.

The soft furred feline also purred "Thank you, everyone has been so kind to me. I'm glad I am a feline of WindClan. We stick together. So shall we bury the fresh kill and come back to it later?" Duckpaw said in a kind voice. Her white paw came up to her face, the she-cat licked it clean then wiped it over her face. Then looking back up the slowly setting sun reflected in the blue eyes making them look even more warm.

Jadegaze smiled and flicked her tail for silence. A Eagle, with a wing-span of about 2 badger lengths, had settled down on a low hanging tree branch. It's brown and white feathers glistening in the sun. She smiled and crept toward it, her paws gliding gracefully across the grass. She got close enough when the bird noticed her. It started to fly away but she had pounced and her weight made the magestisc bird fall to the ground, dead.

The apprentice twitched her tail back and fourth with delight. Jadegaze knew how to catch feathered creatures like Swiftstorm had taught the young feline. The bird fell to earth with dripping wings, feathers fell, Duckpaw's pupils got wide. She crouched, entranced from the dance the feather made drifting in the wind. Her hind legs lifted, the long slender ginger tail twitched. One moment she stood next to Risingdawn. The next moment, the apprentice had darted. Now standing next to her mentor and the eagle. A brown feather enclosed in Duckpaw's jaw. Her eyes sparkled with wonder. She put the feather down in front of her white milk colored paws " What a wonderful catch! " the she-cat said to her mentor. Looking around they had caught quiet a few fresh kill. She tilted her head ever so slightly waiting for an answer to her previous question.

Jadegaze smiled," Why thank you Duckpaw. Nice catch for the feather too." She purred with laughter flicking her apprentice on the ears. She looked at the pile of prey they had," No I think we have enough, don't you Risingdawn?"

Risingdawn nodded thoughtfully "I believe WindClan will be well substained with the catchs we've made to day, and the fact that not only have we caught food but also have we trapped ourselves each some knowledge, we're well suited for anything that might come our way." she purred, her tendancy for over speaking, using many words and structured replies breaking through. "It would be my pleasure to join the two of you on another patrol, for of late I fear our clan numbers have been dwindling. " she said, her voice grief stricken at her final remark. "Let us return to the camp and show the others our prize and hard work of the day" she said on a lighter note.

Jadegaze smiled and nodded," Of course, maybe you could come to Duckpaw's battle training tomorrow at sunhigh. I'm sure you could help me teach her a few moves." She purred, Risingdawn was an excellent hunter, she just might be an excellent fighter too. She picked up her prey and padded away, back towards camp. Her cream colored pelt disappearing.
