ICE PELT
The day was slowly beginning. The sun had finally risen to its highest peak, spreading its golden warmth along the forest floor. Sweet whisthles, tunes, from the calls of summer birds echoed throughout Riverclan territory. Small critters began savenging the vacant ground. The forest was slowly flourishing with sounds and smells. It was only a matter of time before the top predator made it's way out for the morning partols.
It was a new day, a new day since the announcement of him becoming deputy. The gray tom had escaped early just to familurize himself with his new status. A little hunting wouldnt hut either, it would give him a little time to organize the daily patrols. His pale yet penatrating green eyes scanned his forest surrondings. His ears perked at eevry sound, the river, the wind, the scurrying paws, evereything the young deputy took in. Icepelt blinked slowly before he took one glance back at the camp entrance. He was curious if anyone would accompany, follow him. He wasnt sure, every day, every hunt was different. Getting to know his other clanmates besides his sibling could be an advantage. That is to be deeply respected as deputy.
Taking a deep breath, he took in the morning air. His green gaze scanned once more before he took one step on the moist soil. One step to the right would take him to the river, the river his clan had ben so dependant on. One step to the left the trail just wandered deep into the midst ofthe forest, a place where Riverclan cats werent commonly found. Icepelt couldnt make up his mind, one step and his daily fate changed. Funny little thing wasnt it, time, fate, desitny.
Blazerunner's Amber eyes Looked at the Grey tom Contemplating his next action at the Entrance of the Camp. She rose up on her Paws and Strode over to Talk with the new Deputy."Hello Icepelt, Congratulations on becoming the Deputy, I'm Glad!" she Mewed Walking next to the tom,"Mind If I join you?" She Flicked her ears and looked cheerfully around, The River was gurgling nearby full of the fish that Kept her Clan healthy. The Other way Was the Forest full of the Secondary Prey her Clan had such as Mice and Squirrels, She Was a Bit more comfortable in the river but Somehow she was connected to the forest in a way that was unknown. Her past was Unknown by most including herself But She didn't Mind, She made Up for her and her parents past mistakes with a Bubbly personality, fierce loyalty, and Well-liked Attitude.

At once Icepelt's attention was drawn to the real world. Very slowly the gray tom's head turned to look upon Blazerunner, a friendly, heart-warming she=cat. Icepelt bowed his head at once in a very brief greeting. "Good morning to you to Blazerunner" he meowed happily, that dashy white smile spread across his face.
The newly made deputy looked away at the announcement of her friendly compliment. He was very happy that he had been given the position. "Well thank you very much Blazerunner, its nice to know that your happy with Coalstar's choice" he meowed smoothly, his green eyes instantly met up with her's.
"I dont mind if you join, it will be a good way to get to know you more" he grinned, gently and in a friendly manner nudged her side with his paw.

She Nudged at his Touch on her side, and she returned an affectionate gesture by licking his ear closest to her."Yes that would be nice. Let's get going, Furball!" she Purred as she closed her eyes and padded slowly away in whatever direction her Paws would Bring her. The sounds of the river were getting Slightly louder and the Spray dampened the Air Ever so slightly. Looks Like It was fish that The Duo were Hunting for Now, She didn't mind What She Hunted As long as it was with Someone Friendly to her

Icepelt couldnt help but grin at her warm touch. It sent a slight shiver down his spine, but in a good way. He allowed Blazerunner to go first, a ploite escort.
"Im coming, right after you" he answered smoothly.
Icepelt followed the young she-cat closly, his ears were perked intently on the trickling river ahead.
"You ready to go fishing, might wanna get warmed up before I get down there" he meowed in a teasing manner. He wasnt one to show off but he was one to joke around at times.

Blazerunner stopped and sat by the stream her Golden paw raised slightly in the position to Swipe the fish out the river. the Water was Clear As every Once in a While A Silver streak Passed by Too fast to See or Notice. Her Claws swiped the Water as A Fat Fish Flew out of her reach and Floundered helplessly on the Sand Nearby,unable to Breathe out of its aquatic terrain. The Amber-eyed She-cat Flicked her Ears and Mewed Softly as she Made her way to her Kill, Sinking her Claws Into Its Scales,as she bent down For A bite On the Throat to kill. " Your Turn!" she Mewed to the Tom as he Made his Way Down.

Jetpaw saw the new deputy and his mentor down by the river, he burst down the hill he had been standing on. "Blazerunner, can I help you guys out?" the black apprentice meowed excitedley. His blue eyes full of hope. He was eager to start training in his parents birth clan. Jetpaw was done with the sadness that had stalked him earlier by the river.

Icepelt watched Blazerunner as she swiftly caught, killed, hunted her newly caught fish. She had an excellant technique no wonder she was a mentor. He smiled as she announced it was his turn. "Alrighy" he meowed turning his attention the the river below his paws.
Icepelt's eyes suddenly were drawn away from the silver stream. Jetpaw, Blazerunner's apprentice soon joined the picture. Icepelt greeted him with a brief bow of the head. "Greetings Jetpaw, I dont think either of us mind. It's up to Blazerunner"
"I don't Mind,It would be Great to help with your training." The She-cat Said licking the loose fish blood off her fangs." Come Closer to the River," the Golden She-cat gestured Jetpaw over with her tail tip."Icepelt, If you want to Go Over to go farther Down So you Won't get wet, I don't mind"She said turning her gaze towards Her Gray Tom Friend." Now, Fishing can be a bit tricky, But it's just takes patience and Practice," she Began turning her attention back Forwards. "Raise your paw, And Just watch as the little Silver fish Swim By.And Eventually, you'll Get a good Strike, Like this!"Blazerunner plunged her paw into the water and Withdrew it quickly, a Silver fish flying out with it. She repeated what she Did with her previous catch and laid them together. "You Try."

"Why good morning!" Jaydapple said, sidleing out of the camp entrance. "Fishing already? Good job!" she purred. "The Clan will be well fed tonight." She flicked her grey and black tail in amusment as she watched Jetpaw step up to the River. It took her back to when she was an apprentice. She closed her sky-blue eyes as the memories, bittersweet, washed over her.
(And I just wanted to point out somthing, I'm not trying to sound stuck up, although I have no dobut this will. I noticed that you said congradulations to Icepelt for becoming RiverClan deputy, when in fact the deputy is me. Sorry if that sounded stuck up, but I felt the need to point it out. Thanks!)
